Since it the summer, we have been on the go. I’ve been searching for quick and easy breakfast recipes for my kids. I drink a smoothie EVERYDAY, but I try to mix it up for the kids. That way I know they are getting a variety of nutrients. Recently, I had the opportunity to try the Bob’s Red Mill Museli, and we loved it! My favorite mix was the Paleo, while my kids love the tropical blend.
I was so sad when we ran out, but then I thought “hey, why don’t make my own Museli”. And that is just what I did. I purchased all of my ingredients from Aldi. This recipe took me 5 minutes to put together. It can get any quicker than that.
My kids eat their Museli with either greek yogurt or vanilla almond milk, and fruit of their choice.
For this recipe, I didn’t really follow measurements. I just kind of eyeballed it. I wanted a larger quantity of seeds and dried fruit so add or take away according to your taste.
Museli-Made In 5 Minutes
1 Cup Rolled Oats
1/4 Cup Pumpkin Seeds
1/4 Cup Topical Dried Fruit Blend (from Aldi)
Dash of Cinnamon
*Optional Chia seeds, sunflower seeds, or any other seed you would like.
Here are how my kids eat their Museli:
What I love most about this recipe that you can customize it to your taste. You don’t have to use these particular ingredients. Also, you can toast it lightly for a bit more bite.
This is also a great recipe to do with your little ones. I let my daughter and son get in the kitchen with me to make it. For some reason when kids help make their own meals, it makes them want to eat it! LOL. If you try this recipe let me know how you like it.
