We are finally PCSing! I’m so excited because we will be closer to family and friends. I’m not sure how long we will be at our new duty station but my plan is to take full advantage of the extra support. I’m also hoping to get a few more things accomplished career wise. I have another business that I’ve been wanting to pursue for years, but ya know I had a few babies and life just got busy.
I’m also going to take the time to focus on myself more. I need to make doctor’s appointments for myself and make sure everything is checking out fine. I’m not proud that I’ve neglected that part of my life, especially since I blog about wellness. This past year has just made it impossible for me to go to the doctors. My husband was constantly traveling, and I don’t have a sitter, so my health took a back seat.
I announced on my Facebook page that my husband and I decided to homeschool Honey Bee (our kindergartner). It’s something I toyed with for awhile but I wasn’t for sure. However, each day I leaned more towards homeschooling. I really enjoy and so do the kids. I’m excited and the kids are excited. I will share snippets of our journey here and there.
Also, Sugar Bee (my second VBAC baby) will be a year old next month. Her and Honey Bee’s birthdays are only 6 days apart so we may do a joint celebration. Sugar Bee hasn’t started walking yet, but she is a very social and vocal baby. I don’t have much of an update on Bumble Bee (my son) because he is doing well. He is having a bit of trouble with his speech so as soon as we get settled I’m going to get him a speech therapist.
As I’m typing this I’m in the middle of packing. I hate packing, but I hate stuff more. Throughout my life, I’ve never been an organized person. It probably has something to do with how my brain is wired but I’m a messy person.
Then one day while folding 4 baskets of laundry I realized that I’m not a stuff person. It complicates my life and it depresses me. So in order to combat that I’ve decided to minimize my stuff. I’ve already done it with my wardrobe, personal care items, and the kid’s toys. Now I just need to minimize my husband’s stuff. The thing is he likes stuff. I’m not really sure how to tackle that, but once I do I will report back to you guys.
My goal for the move is to keep my household as simple as possible. Because it will be less stressful for me. I’m not saying I’m going to become a minimalist but it is something that working towards.
Well, I gotta go. My husband took the older two kids to the movies, and the baby is sleep. I’m about to enjoy some ALONE TIME!
Have a blessed day!
Oh, here is an old picture I found of me and Bumble Bee! I was logged into my old Meetup account and this was my profile picture. Don’t you love it when you find old forgotten pictures?
